The Volvo C40 Recharge is part of the electric car rollout from the Swedish brand with its coupe-esque styling in an SUV body. Is it a 7 seater though?
The C40 Recharge forms part of Volvo’s electric car offensive that’s been rolling out for a few years. Volvo aims for 50% of its sales volume to be electric vehicles. My colleague Sean Nurse had the C40 Recharge on review, and you can watch his thoughts here.
The C40 Recharge employs a low and sleek coupe-esque design in an SUV body designed as pure electric only. Despite the connotations one would have over coupe-styled bodies, the C40 is pretty roomy inside, even with the lower rear roofline. The Eco-centric interior boasts that it’s free of leather, a first for Volvo. The cabin has a contemporary style with the latest technology, such as the jointly developed Google infotainment system. You’ll also find a panoramic sunroof and a Harmon Kardon sound system hooked up to that slick infotainment system. With style and tech for everyone in the car to enjoy, is the C40 Recharge a 7-seater?
Great! But is the C40 Recharge a 7-seater?
No, the Volvo C40 Recharge is not a 7-seater. The maximum seating capacity is 5. Regarding seating arrangements, the seats in the C40 Recharge are ergonomically designed as you’d expect of Volvo. You can seat 5 adults in the C40, but taller rear occupants may be a bit tight for headroom. In terms of ISOFIX mounting points, you’ll find mounting on the front passenger seat and the outer rear seats. It’s safe, alright. Speaking of versatility, the rear seats do fold down to increase the boot space. If you’re still sold on a C40 Recharge, after reading this, you can search AutoTrader for the latest used and new offerings and sell your car.
