You know which brand of car you own. But do you know the parent company behind your brand? With so many changes at the corporate level, consumers can sometimes be in the dark about which companies own their favorite car brands. This one company owns 12 different brands. Big brands like Dodge and more are owned by one brand: Stellantis. Here’s how the automaking giant took control of these 12 popular badges and what they are.
1. Alfa Romeo
Alfa Romeo is known for its Giulia sports sedan and Stelvio SUV. According to Consumer Reports, this Italian automaker was once part of the Fiat Chrysler Automobiles family. But this conglomerate is now owned by Stellantis.
2. Chrysler
Like Alfa Romeo, the Chrysler brand fell under the Fiat Chrysler Automobiles umbrella. This group later re-emerged as Stellantis. The budget-friendly Chrysler Voyager van has transitioned to fleet-only options this year. But consumers can still buy the Pacifica minivan or the 300 sedan, which are among their more popular offerings.
3. Dodge
Dodge and Chrysler have long since been associated with the same corporate entities. So, it’s no surprise that Dodge is now Stellantis. You can buy Dodge’s beefiest muscle cars: a Charger sedan or a Challenger coupe. And you’ll still have the popular three-row SUV with the Durango.
4. Fiat
This Italian brand of cars includes the 500x offered in the U.S. According to Consumer Reports, the more retro-styled version of the 500 has been discontinued. The 124 Spider was also discontinued after 2020. Fiat fell under the Chrysler umbrella, which later became Stellantis.
5. Jeep

Jeep, at one point, was a stand-alone company before folding into the Chrysler family, later to be Stellantis. But Jeep still holds its own as a unique offering of SUVs. The off-road capable Wrangler continues to be a cult classic among consumers. But there is also the Gladiator pickup, the Compass SUV, and the Cherokee lineup featuring a Cherokee, a Grand Cherokee, and a Grand Cherokee L.
6. Maserati
The Maserati has been synonymous with Italian-bred sports car performers for almost 100 years. And it’s a brand that has changed ownership many times before falling under the Fiat Chrysler Automobiles umbrella to become Stellantis. These cars, the Ghibli and the Quattroporte have Ferrari-designed engines. And you can also sample the Levante SUV.
7. Ram
Ram is one of the nation’s most popular trucks. Known for powerhouse working capability in both gas and diesel capacities, the Ram truck has a fierce following. Today, you can find luxury and workhorse mentality in the truck lineup, including the Ram 1500, the Ram 1500 Classic, the Ram 2500, and the Ram 3500. Formerly part of the Fiat Chrysler Automobiles group, Ram is now part of Stellantis.
8. Citroen
Inside EVs shared that Citroen, a Stellantis brand, will only sell electric variations of their midsize and compact MPVs across Europe. The Citroen Berlingo and Space Tourer will be exclusively available as battery power in 2022.
9. DS Automobiles
AM Online reported that DS Automobiles has big plans for exclusive electrification by 2024 and an expanded model range for this year. The French automaker is part of the Stellantis family and offers the DS4 hatchback in the British market, primed to compete with the Audi A3 and the BMW 1 Series. The DS9 will also take on the Lexus ES and the Jaguar FX overseas.
10. Opel
The Opel Combo Life, the Vivaro Combi, and the Safira Life are available overseas and are all part of the Stellantis family. These vehicles are only sold as all-electric models across the European Union and the United Kingdom.
11. Peugeot
Peugeot and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles merged to form Stellantis. And this car is available overseas, made popular in Europe. Peugeot has also gone all-electric in Europe with its Rifter and Traveller/Expert models.
12. Vauxhall
This brand is another overseas favorite that has become part of the Stellantis family and is often called Opel, as Drive Vauxhall describes. Vauxhall is actually a British brand, but the car is German.
Stellantis is one of the largest conglomerates of auto brands around the globe. This list of brands under the corporate umbrella might surprise you.
