The Arkana could be the most affordable coupe SUV in India
The French manufacturer is planning a major shuffle in India after the success of the Kiger in the Indian market. Renault has discontinued the Duster and planning to bring the bigger Arkana to take on the vehicles like Tata Harrier and MG Hector in India.
Pictures by Autocar show the Arkana with temporary registration plates in India. Just like the Captur and the Kaptur, Renault offers the Akrana based on two different platforms for different regions.
The Arkana gets the newer CMF-B platform for the European nations while the older B0 platform also underpins the Arkana in many countries. But, the model spotted here gets the e-tech hybrid system, suggesting that it uses the advanced CMF-B platform.

But Renault is yet to announce the arrival of the car officially in India
The new Renault Arkana can get the CMF-A platform when it reaches the Indian market. Renault may skip the B0 platform to bring the newer version. Renault tried experimenting by bringing the Captur on the B0 platform but it could not attract customers in the market. We can expect a newer CMF-B platform with a modern cabin on the Arkana.

Renault is likely to import the Arkana

To bring the car to the Indian market without making a huge investment, Renault may simply import the Arkana to the Indian market. If the volumes pick up for Arkana, Renault may start manufacturing the vehicle in India as well.
The international version of the Arkana gets a flowing design, just like the Captur. It gets many similar details like extended C-shaped LED headlamps, which are also available with many other Renault cars.

The Arkana gets a coupe-inspired design with a sloping roofline. It definitely looks unique, even among the Renault SUVs.
