The spiritual successor to the Maruti Alto K10 is actually a hatchback that takes plenty of inspiration from SUVs. A direct rival of the Maruti S-Presso, the Renault Kwid has a similar SUV-inspired design that leads to high ground clearance and a commanding seating position. It’s available in a 0.8-litre as well as 1.0-litre engine option. The former outputs 54Ps of power and 72Nm of torque and the latter offers 68Ps of power and 91Nm of torque. The smaller engine is only available with a 5-speed manual gearbox but 1.0L model can be bought with either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed automatic setup.
