PARIS: Renault has unveiled a new Megane Sedan, a four-door version of its famous hatch with an opening panoramic glass roof, an unusual feature for a vehicle in this market segment.
The front of the car inherits the same new signature style as other recent Renaults, but the Megane Sedan stands out with its panoramic glass sliding sunroof. Linking the windshield to the rear window, this creates a stylish two-tone effect. The sedan also comes with a hands-free Easy Trunk Access system.
This new Megane Sedan is announced with a multitude of high-end features, including a 7-inch colour TFT digital counter, a colour head-up display, Easy Park Assist, the R-LINK 2 multimedia tablet and Multi-Sense driving modes. It features driving aids such as Advanced Emergency Braking System, Lane Departure Warning, etc.
Depending on the country of sale, Renault will equip this model with two petrol engines (SCe 115 and TCe 130) and three diesel engines (dCi 90, dCi 110 and dCi 130).
The new Megane Sedan joins the standard Megane hatchback and the Megane Estate.
The 2016 Megane Sedan will be sold in the following countries: Algeria, Saudi Arabia, Australia, Bulgaria, Croatia, Egypt, United Arab Emirates, Estonia, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Israel, Latvia, Lebanon, Lithuania, Morocco, Poland, Czech Republic, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Tunisia, Turkey and Ukraine.
