From March 1, Renault will be the latest automotive brand to increase the pricing – but not standard specification – of most of its models in Australia due to ongoing industry challenges.
The Megane RS hot hatch has copped the largest price rise, with its sold Trophy grade up $6100 to from $60,090 plus on-road costs (see full pricing tables below).
Meanwhile the Captur small SUV has risen $1300-1900 (from $30,090), while the Arkana small SUV and Koleos mid-size SUV have jumped $600-1100 (from $34,590) and $600 (from $33,590), respectively.
Of note, with its next generation on the horizon, the Kangoo small van (from $26,290) is the only model to be unaffected.
But Renault Australia’s other LCVs, the Trafic mid-size van (from $38,590) and Master large van (from $47,090), have become $1200 and $1100-1360 more expensive, respectively.
“Like many brands in Australia, Renault have had to increase prices due to significant material and shipping cost changes over recent months,” Renault Australia general manager Glen Sealey said.
“We know, however, that the Renault range still represents a premium European offering combined with genuine value thanks to its high levels of safety, technology and cutting-edge design.”
