PETALING JAYA: Edaran Tan Chong Motor Sdn Bhd (ETCM), the sole distributor of Nissan vehicles in Malaysia, along with Tan Chong Express Auto Service Centre (TCEAS) announced a service campaign for its customers to replace the airbag inflator module of affected Nissan vehicles.
A total of 12,444 Nissan units in Malaysia are involved in the front passenger airbag inflator Service Campaign.
They are X-Trail(CKD) manufacture year May 2002 to Mar 2007; Teana(CBU) manufacture year Aug 2004 to Sep 2004 and Liberty(CBU) manufacture year 2003.
This exercise does not affect the all-New Nissan X-Trail which was launched in January 2015, and all other current selling Nissan models.
ETCM, via TCEAS, will contact the owner of the affected Nissan vehicles directly.
