Nissan X-Trail 2.5 Visia R649 900*
The base model X-Trail features 17-inch alloy wheels, a multifunction steering wheel, USB ports (front + rear), auto lights/wipers, climate control, keyless entry/start, cloth-covered seats, a colour touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, LED headlights, adaptive cruise control and keyless entry/start. The base model benefits from Lane Departure Warning, traction and stability control, 6 airbags, ISOFIX child seat anchor points, front and rear PDC with a reverse camera as well as ABS with EBA. There is also a 3-year/45 000km service plan as standard.
Nissan X-Trail 2.5 Acenta R709 900*
Moving up to the Acenta model, it takes what the Visia model has and adds 18-inch alloy wheels, a tyre pressure monitor, 8 airbags, lane keep assist, blind spot assist, rear privacy glass, a heated steering wheel, artificial leather seats, an electrically adjustable driver’s seat, LED fog lamps, front PDC and a surround-view camera.
Nissan X-Trail 2.5 Acenta Plus 4WD R759 900*
The flagship Acenta Plus gets 7 seats, an all-wheel drive system, a larger infotainment system, hill descent control, 19-inch alloy wheels, a head-up display and automatic wipers/lights.
So which one is the best?
When looking at the three X-Trail models in what has become an increasingly price-sensitive segment, we feel that the base model Visia is the best buy, coming in over R100 000 cheaper than the flagship model while offeringenough specification as standard.
