Nissan has hiked the prices of Nissan Magnite SUV up to Rs 30,500. Prices for the Nissan Magnite SUV now ranges from Rs 5.84 lakh (ex-showroom, India) for the ‘XE’ variant and goes all the way up to Rs 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom, India) for the top-end XV Premium Turbo CVT variant.
The highest price hike was received by the ‘XL’ variant of the Nissan Magnite SUV equipped with the 1.0-litre turbocharged engine and CVT gearbox. Earlier, this model was priced at Rs 8.56 lakh (ex-showroom, India). Now, the prices have been increased by Rs 30,500 and costs Rs 8.86 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
Whereas the least price hike was received by the ‘XV Premium’ variant of the Nissan Magnite SUV equipped with the 1.0-litre turbocharged engine and CVT gearbox. Prices of this model was hiked by Rs 1,999 and now cost Rs 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
Recently, Nissan announced that it has manufactured 50,000 units of Nissan Magnite SUVs in India since its launch last year. Moreover, the Japanese automaker has also received more than 1 lakh bookings for the sub-4m SUV.
Speaking about the Nissan Magnite, the compact SUV became a game-changer for the Japanese brand in India as it generated over 1 lakh+ bookings despite the slow automotive market.
Also, the Nissan Magnite is powered by two engine options. The base engine option is a 1.0-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine. This engine produces 72bhp of peak power and 96Nm of peak torque.
The second engine option is a more powerful engine of the same size. However, the 1.0-litre unit is a turbocharged petrol engine that produces 98.6bhp of peak power and 160Nm of peak torque (152Nm of torque in CVT gearbox model). Moreover, gearbox options include a 5-speed manual transmission and a CVT gearbox.
The Nissan Magnite SUV is built on the CMF-A+ platform that underpins the Renault Triber and the platform itself is a derivative of the CMF-A platform that underpins the Renault Kwid.
Thanks to this platform, the Nissan Magnite SUV scored 11.85 points out of 17 points for adult occupant protection, awarding it a 4-Star safety rating. Also, Nissan Magnite has also scored a 4-Star rating in ASEAN-NCAP.
