Jeep Gladiator pick-up adds rear sports bar and two tray cover options
Jeep Australia has released a new collection of locally-developed accessories for its 2022 Jeep Gladiator pick-up range, comprising soft and hard tonneau covers that can had in combination with a new rear sports bar.
Compatible with all versions of the all-American dual-cab 4×4 ute, the new range of accessories is headlined by a soft tonneau cover ($935), a power-operated RollTrac tonneau cover ($4617) and a powder-coated black sports bar that can be combined with either but can’t be purchased on its own.
Opting for the sports bar as well as the soft tonneau requires a total outlay of $2424, while combining it with the hard RollTrac cover ups the bill to $5351.
By far the most high-tech piece of kit in the new range, the powered roller cover can be opened or closed via a button on either side of the tub, comes with integrated LED lighting, full water-proofing and an anti-pinch system.
Tray space inevitably suffers at the hands of the roller cover, but the payoff is increased security, including a lockable storage box between the powered drum and the back of the cabin.
Stellantis Australia aftersales and customer experience director Stephen Lester said the release of the new accessories was a great opportunity for customers to simply and easily accessorise the Jeep Wrangler-based Gladiator ute with parts available and installed via Jeep’s national dealer network.
“Now even more owners in the thriving Jeep community can fully embrace the ‘Live like a Gladiator’ mantra and put their own mark on their vehicle,” he said.
The new cargo solutions join the 57 other genuine Jeep accessories available for the Gladiator in Australia, including everything from bodyside/bonnet decals, all-weather floor mats and roof boxes, to a tow kit, skid plate, cargo bed ramp and drawers.
