Mahindra has hiked the prices of Bolero and Bolero Neo SUVs in India ahead of the implementation of much stricter BS6 Phase 2 and RDE emission norms in the country.
Mahindra Bolero: Starting with the Mahindra Bolero, the Indian SUV manufacturer has hiked the prices of its rugged SUV up to Rs 31,000, and prices for the Bolero SUV now starts from Rs 9.78 lakh (ex-showroom, India) for the base B4 variant.
Moreover, it is also worth mentioning that the prices of this variant have been hiked by Rs 25,000. On the other hand, the prices for the top-spec B6 (O) variant have been hiked by Rs 31,000 and this variant now costs Rs 10.79 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
That being said, Mahindra has not hiked the prices of the mid-spec Bolero B6 variant and this model continues to retail for Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom, India). This is quite interesting as the production cost is likely to increase if the model is compliant with the latest emission regulations.
Mahindra Bolero Neo: Mahindra has hiked the prices of all variants of the Bolero Neo SUV by Rs 15,000 except for the N10 LE variant. As such, prices for the Mahindra Bolero Neo SUV starts from Rs 9.63 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
As mentioned, prices for the Mahindra Bolero Neo N10 LE variant continue to remain the same at Rs 11.50 lakh (ex-showroom, India). Furthermore, Mahindra will soon launch the N8R variant of the Bolero Neo SUV and it will sit between the N8 and N10 variants.
Thoughts About The Mahindra Bolero & Bolero Neo SUV Price Hike
We expect the latest price hike on the Bolero and Bolero Neo SUVs to be the result of upgrade powertrains that meet the upcoming stringent emission regulations. That being said, we do not expect the price hike to affect the overall sales figures in any manner.
