The Meridian is expected to be powered by a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder diesel engine that produces 170 BHP and 350 Nm. The engine is likely to be paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 9-speed automatic transmission. The SUV will also be offered with a four-wheel-drive system.
The price hike could also affect the recently launched Compass Trailhawk. The updated model was introduced in February at a price of Rs. 30.72 lakh (ex-showroom).
Powering the Trailhawk is the same 2.0-litre diesel engine that produces 170 BHP and 350 Nm. The engine is paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission and a 4-wheel drive system.
