Rewards program set up for Aussie military personnel who purchase INEOS Grenadier 4×4 off-roader
INEOS Automotive has announced a rewards program for Australian military personnel who purchase the new 2022 INEOS Grenadier.
Available for existing military personnel, veterans and their families, the deal stems from a partnership forged between the British 4×4 manufacturer and the Australian Partners of Defence (APOD) organisation.
INEOS says the extensive range of accessories available under the partnership includes “integrated winches, rock sliders and side runners, to camp tables, storage boxes and gullwing rear windows”.
INEOS Automotive’s Asia Pacific chief, Justin Hocevar, said the partnership was the first of its kind locally for the fledgling brand, which will formally launch in the fourth quarter of this year with the Grenadier that’s priced from $84,500 plus on-road costs.
“We wanted to go above and beyond to recognise the service of our military personnel,” said Hocevar.
“They epitomise values such as grit and determination that our team at INEOS also hold dear. As we approach the launch of our built-on-purpose 4×4 later this year, we look forward to helping members of the APOD and other future owners to explore the great backyard of Australia with their Grenadiers.”
APOD currently attracts discounts and other benefits for its members from more than 3000 businesses nationally.
It is not known exactly how much INEOS will subsidise accessories and parts under the partnership, but officials say the deal is a natural fit for military personnel.
“We’re delighted that INEOS Automotive has joined us in recognising the sacrifices of military personnel and their families here in Australia,” said APOD chief Paul Broadbridge.
“Many join the military for the sense of adventure and the opportunity to push their limits and the Grenadier is quite clearly a product that also answers this calling.”
INEOS has been busy undertaking an extensive customer test drive program in the eastern states in recent weeks, allowing prospective buyers and deposit holders to ride shotgun aboard the new Grenadier at private testing locations.
Australia has been flagged as the world’s fourth-biggest market for the Land Rover-inspired 4×4 off-roader, with more than 1000 orders already taken.
The Grenadier was conceived over pints in a British pub as executives mulled a plan to revive the legend of the original Land Rover Defender. The pub was called the Grenadier.
The off-roader will be available locally with a choice of BMW-supplied 3.0-litre inline six-cylinder turbo-diesel or turbo-petrol engines, plus two seating configurations and a dual-cab ute version in the pipeline.
