- How do I connect my Android phone to my Jeep Gladiator?
The Jeep Gladiator might look intimidating and rugged on the outside, but it is quite refined on the interior. We show you how to connect your Android smartphone to the infotainment system.
Estimated Reading Time: 2 minutes
The Jeep Gladiator is only available in the Rubicon trim locally, which means that it comes with a host of standard equipment. One of those items is the 8.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system which comes installed with the latest UConnect systems. This means that owners can connect their Apple and Android smartphones and utilize some of their favourite applications through the vehicle’s system.
But if you are not sure how to connect your Android phone to the infotainment system, we will guide you through the process below. If you would like to own a model like this, remember to search for new or used Jeep Gladiator models on AutoTrader and if you need to sell your car to pay the deposit, why not try the new Instant Offer available on our website?
Connecting Android phone
Note that in order for your Android phone to connect to your Jeep Gladiator, it first needs to be installed with the latest version of the Android Auto application. This is what communicates with your vehicle once you connect your phone. You will need either the USB-A or USB-C cable that came with your Android phone to connect your phone.
1. Launch the Android Auto application on your phone.
2. With the vehicle on but in a stationary position, connect your phone to the vehicle with a USB cable.
3. Your Android phone and/or the vehicle’s infotainment system might prompt to ask you if you would like to connect. Select Accept.
4. Follow the instructions on the screen and agree to the terms of usage.
5. Your phone is now connected and you can start navigating to applications installed on your Android device.
