It will enter the market shortly with a price of around 300,000 yuan (44,435 USD). This model can charge 450 km of range in nine minutes. The Xpeng G9L is a BEV crossover. It previously revealed core specs in China during the domestic homologation process. The G9L is a full-size SUV with dimensions of 5120/1999/1795 mm. The wheelbase reaches 3,100 mm. For clarity, the Xpeng’s new model is 198 mm longer than the BMW X5 (G05). The G9L offers a five-seat interior layout only. This way, Xpeng prevented the internal competition between the G9L and the recently launched six-seat GX. The Xpeng G9L has a dual-motor AWD with a 160 kW (215 hp) electric motor in the front axle and a 270 kW (362 hp) e-motor in the rear. The combined peak power reaches 430 kW (577 hp). This five-seater can speed up to 200 km/h. The brand’s officials highlighted that this model stands on the 800V platform. It allows a car to charge 450 km in nine minutes. Its exterior styling adopts the latest design language introduced by the mentioned GX. The G9L boasts hidden door handles, electrically powered soft-closing doors, a closed front end, pronounced rear fenders, and large 22-inch wheels. The interior of the G9L boasts front seats with power-adjustable lumbar and side support. The front passenger seat adopts a zero-gravity mode. Other features include a built-in fridge, an AR-HUD, and a 1,152-liter trunk. The Xpeng G9L crossover. It is enough for a comprehensive driving assistance system with the Navigate On Autopilot (NOA) and self-parking functions. According to the brand’s CEO, the G9L boasts the fastest moose test results in its class. Another highlight is an aviation-grade redundancy design. It reportedly meets five-star safety standards from four major global authoritative institutions (presumably Euro NCAP, C-NCAP, ANCAP, and Global NCAP). The Xpeng G9L’s release date has yet to be revealed. However, the brand’s activity hints at an upcoming launch. According to China EV DataTracker, Xpeng delivered 134,378 cars domestically in H1 2026, down 24.5% Year-Over-Year. Most important news in your inbox. Recaps · scheduled All you need, in one email.
