Gasgoo Munich- XPeng AeroHT has officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah in the UAE on September 18. Under the full supervision of the General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA), the two parties will jointly build an advanced air mobility regulatory sandbox platform and simultaneously launch the planning and demonstration of an inter-emirate route connecting Abu Dhabi and Ras Al Khaimah. Coordinated and regulated by the GCAA, the platform aims to establish a standardized, replicable, and scalable system for the airworthiness regulation, safe operation, and commercial use of flying cars.Image Source: XPeng AeroHT flying carAs planned, AeroHT will conduct specialized environmental flight tests in Ras Al Khaimah to gather data on power, range, airspace adaptability, and safety risks under high-temperature and sandy conditions. The tests will verify commercial feasibility for scenarios such as tourism, urban short-haul shuttles, emergency rescue, and oil platform surveys. Routine test flights for the inter-emirate route will take place within the sandbox. However, given the different airspace management and administrative regulatory systems in the two locations, the project must resolve issues related to cross-airspace dispatching, cross-regional approval, ground support, and emergency response. On September 17, AeroHT attended a reception hosted by the Chinese Embassy in the UAE to celebrate the 77th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. Witnessed by Chinese Ambassador Zeng Jixin and members of the UAE royal family, the "Land Aircraft Carrier" completed a two-aircraft formation flight at the Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi. Ambassador Zeng expressed approval of the demonstration, stating that the UAE is currently developing its low-altitude economy and future mobility sectors. With China possessing the necessary industrial and technological foundations, he noted that the potential for cooperation between the two sides is immense.
