The new luxury SUV is available in three configurations, with prices ranging from 409,800 yuan (60,300 USD) to 469,800 yuan (69,100 USD). This updated version, which opened pre-sales last month, introduces the second-generation Blade Battery and advanced Flash Charge technology. Blade Battery 2.0The Denza N9 Flash Charge Edition is equipped with the second-generation Blade Battery, pushing its CLTC pure electric range to 420km. To support the new Flash Charge capabilities, BYD aims to have flash-charging stations within a 3km radius in first and second-tier cities, 5km in third and fourth-tier cities, and 6km in fifth and sixth-tier cities. Exterior and dimensionsThe N9 Flash Charge Edition features a closed front grille paired with dual-layer LED headlights. The vehicle sits on 22-inch forged mirror wheels. In terms of size, the SUV measures 5258mm in length, 2030mm in width, and 1830mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3125mm. Interior and AI integrationInside, the cabin is headlined by a 17.3-inch central control screen, a 13.2-inch passenger entertainment display, and a 13.2-inch instrument cluster, complemented by a massive 50-inch HUD. The interior utilises premium materials, including real wood trim, metal buttons, and a suede roof. The seats have been upgraded with diamond-pattern stitching. Technologically, the N9 features a new-generation AI intelligent cockpit and multiple magnetic attachment points for accessory expansion. Driving safety and convenience are managed by the “Eye of the Gods” 5.0 auxiliary driving system. Power and performanceThe Denza N9 Flash Charge Edition is powered by a plug-in hybrid system featuring a 2.0T engine (207 hp) and a triple-motor setup. The front motor delivers 200 kW (268 hp), while the two rear motors each produce 240 kW (322 hp). Together, the system generates a combined output of 680 kW (912 hp), allowing the vehicle to sprint from 0 to 100km/h in just 3.7 seconds. Its combined range reaches 1520km. The vehicle is built on the e3 technology platform and features the DiSus-A intelligent chassis system. This setup allows for independent three-motor drive and dual-motor independent rear-wheel steering (up to 20°). Notable performance features include a minimum turning radius of 4.65 meters, “compass” U-turns, e3 parking, 15° intelligent “crab walk,” and enhanced stability control for high-speed tyre blowouts or low-friction surfaces.
