Lu Tian, General Manager of BYD’s Dynasty Series Sales Division, released the official images today with two new interior colour schemes: Dune Beige and Amber Brown. The interior design features a “Star Ring” display and a panoramic glass roof. BYD has utilised fine leather upholstery with diamond-quilted stitching. The cabin has integrated ambient lighting that runs throughout the dashboard and door panels. The third-generation Tang is also known as the 8 Series Tang, and joins the Tang L and the larger 9 Series Da Tang (Great Tang) in BYD’s domestic SUV family, while overseas markets have used the Atto 8 and Sealion 8 names for related models. The front fascia is dominated by a full-width LED light bar and air intakes. The side profile features a floating roof design and semi-concealed door handles. Customers can choose between 20-inch and 21-inch wheels. The vehicle is equipped with BYD’s second-generation Blade Battery, available in two capacities: 88.682 kWh and 105.792 kWh. Depending on the configuration, the model offers CLTC-rated pure electric ranges of 730 km (591 km WLTP), 830 km (672 km WLTP), and 850 km (689 km WLTP). The vehicle also supports BYD’s flash-charging technology. The third-generation Tang features the DiSus-A intelligent air body control system, which includes dual-chamber air suspension and intelligent road-surface preview technology, allowing the vehicle to adapt rapidly to changing road conditions.
