The next-generation Mahindra Scorpio has been christened as Scorpio-N. The new SUV, which has just been revealed, will be launched on June 27. It will be sold alongside the current model, which will be rebadged as the Scorpio Classic.
Mahindra has also confirmed that the Scorpio-N will be offered in a range of petrol and diesel engine options, with a choice of manual and automatic transmissions. The SUV will also get a 4×4 option.
The Scorpio-N is expected to be based on a ladder-frame chassis. Leaked images have shown the car’s chrome radiator grille, twin-pod headlights and Volvo-inspired tail lamps. The SUV also retains the side-hinged tailgate.
The Scorpio-N will be manufactured at Mahindra’s Chakan facility.
