The new-gen 2022 Mahindra Scorpio-N has officially gone on sale in India, with prices starting at ₹ 11.99 lakh, whereas the manual version of the top-of-the-line variant is priced at ₹ 19.49 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Mahindra will also offer automatic and all-wheel-drive (AWD) options with the SUV, however, the prices of those variants will be announced on July 21, 2022. Now, all these models will come under five variants – Z2, Z4, Z6, Z8 and Z8L, and here’s everything that these variants offer.
The Mahindra Scorpio-N is priced from ₹ 11.99 lakh, and goes up to ₹ 19.49 lakh for the top-end manual trim.
Scorpio-N Z2:
The entry-level Z2 variant of the Scorpio-N comes with a black grille and skid plates, dual barren halogen headlamps, LED turn indicators, tall LED taillights and a set of 17-inch steel wheels. The SUV also gets a power steering with tilt function, engine start-stop function, second row AC vent, a touchscreen infotainment system, an instrument cluster with a 4-inch monochrome display, and steering-mounted audio controls along with a USB charger. In terms of convenience features, the SUV also gets power windows, one-touch tumble rear seats, and roof lamps. Finally, in terms of safety, the Z2 variant comes with Anti-lock brakes (ABS) with emergency brake-force distribution (EBD), rear parking sensors, dual front airbags, all four ventilated disc brakes, and ISOFIX child seat mounts.
The Scorpio-N gets sunroof from the Z6 variant and above, while the alloy wheels are only offered in Z8 and Z8L trims.
Scorpio-N Z4:
Adding over to the features offered with the Z2 trim, the Z4 variant gets a silver front grille, black roof rails, a rear spoiler and wheel covers. Inside, in addition to rear AC vents, the Z4 trim also offers a control module, a cooled glovebox, and activated carbon filters. Mahindra also offers wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto with this variant, and the cruise control button on the steering wheel. In addition to the regular USB charger, this one also gets a Type C USB port. Other features include – an anti-pinch power window for the driver, electrically adjustable ORVMs, a height-adjustable driver seat with lumbar support, and a rear wiper + washer & demister. The automatic trims of the Z4 variant come with electronic stability control (ESC) and hill hold and descent control.
Scorpio-N Z6:
In addition to the features offered with the Z4 trim, the Z6 variant also comes with a sunroof, silver skid plates, and silver roof rails. The Z6 trim also comes with a bigger 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with navigation and the AdrenoX connected car tech, featuring built-in Amazon Alexa. The system comes with remote command and controls, in-car apps, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and the Alexa-enabled What3Words function. The SUV also gets an anti-pinch sunroof and reading lamp for the third row. With regards to safety features, ESC along with hill hold and descent control are standard, and you also get an emergency call and SOS button.
The Mahindra Scorpio-N gets an 8-inch touchscreen system with AdrenoX connected car tech and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto from the Z6 trim and above.
Scorpio-N Z8:
Adding to the features of the Z6 trim, the Z8 variant comes with a chrome grille, dual barrel LED projector headlamps, new sting-like LED DRLs, LED projector foglamps and LED sequential indicators. The exterior of the SUV also features the signature metallic Scorpio tail element and chrome door handles. The automatic option will also come with 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. Inside, the Z8 trim offers dual-zone automatic climate control, push-button function, a rear parking camera, and rich-coffee black faux leather upholstery and faux leather-wrapped steering wheel and shifter lever. Mahindra also offers anti-pinch windows for both driver and front passenger, power fold mirrors, auto headlamps and auto wipers. In terms of safety features, the SUV comes with 6 airbags and a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS).
The top-end Z8L trim of the Mahindra Scorpio-N comes with a 6-seater cabin with captain seats in the middle row.
Scorpio-N Z8L:
The top-of-the-line Z8L trim gets all the features the Z8 variant offers. In addition to those, Mahindra also offers diamond-cut alloy wheels as standard, along with a 3D immersive audio 12-speaker sound system with a dual-channel sub-woofer from Sony, rear + front camera, and the diesel AWD AT option also gets a wireless phone charger. This top-end trim also gets a 6-way adjustable driver power seat and a Driver Drowsiness Detection (DDD) system.
