The 2022 Mahindra Scorpio-N is inching closer to its launch, which is scheduled for June 27, 2022 at 5:30 pm. Mahindra Scorpio has been due for a new generation model, and the Scorpio-N fulfils that need and takes everything in the Scorpio up a few notches. That is the reason why Mahindra has elected to keep the old Scorpio still in the market under the name Scorpio Classic, which will provide the Scorpio customers with a cheaper alternative. As for the Scorpio-N, we expect the SUV to be priced higher than the current Scorpio thanks to all the added features and the growth in dimensions. The pricing for the Scorpio-N is expected to start around ₹ 13 lakh (ex-showroom), and might go up to ₹ 19 lakh (ex-showroom) for the top end model.
Mahindra Scorpio-N has twin-pod LED headlamps, LED Fog Lamps and C-shaped LED DRLs
The Scorpio-N continues to have the same muscular and boxy silhouette which was first seen on the first-gen Scorpio, and has since become the SUV’s identity. Adding to the SUV’s bold stance up front are new twin-pod LED headlamps, which are supported by LED fog lamps that have C-shaped LED daytime running lamps surrounding them. The rugged stance of the SUV continues all the way to the back with strong lines present on the hood as well as down the sides of the SUV.
The new-generation Mahindra Scorpio-N gets a complete revamp in the cabin complete with a better design and more tech onboard too. The dash gets an all new design, and a large touchscreen takes centre stage on the dash which is flanked by vertical air-con vents. The automaker has also revealed a number of features that will make it to the vehicle including the AdrenoX user interface which was first seen on the Mahindra XUV700. The AdrenoX system also brings connected car technology, as well as driver drowsiness detection. Moreover, the new Scorpio-N will get a 3D sound system from Sony. Other features on the 2022 Mahindra Scorpio-N will include an electric sunroof, dual-zone climate control, a touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless phone charger, multiple drive modes, six airbags, roof-mounted speakers, and more.
Mahindra Scorpio-N has a completely redesigned interior.
The Scorpio-N is expected to be launched with the same engine options as the XUV700, which include the new 2.0-litre, four-cylinder, turbo-petrol engine and a 2.2-litre, four-cylinder, diesel engine. Expect the company to offer a slightly lower state of tune with both engine options for the Scorpio-N. Both the engine options are expected to be paired with a 6-speed manual and automatic gearbox options, as well as a four-wheel-drive system possibly with the top-spec variants.
