New details about the AWD version of the upcoming new Mahindra Scorpio N leak ahead of the launch. According to the leaked details, the upcoming new Scorpio N gets both 4-high and 4-low gear rations.
According to the leaked details, the AWD version of the upcoming new Mahindra Scorpio N features buttons to switch between 4-high and 4-low modes on its transfer case. In addition to that, this system also sports Mahindra’s 4Xplore system with Rough, Snow, Mud, and Water modes.
To further improve the traction during off-road conditions, Mahindra has also equipped the AWD version of the upcoming new Mahindra Scorpio N with a lockable rear differential.
Overall, this system is very much unlike the first-gen Toyota Fortuner that came to India with a full-time 4X4 system.
Apart from that, other new details of the upcoming Mahindra Scorpio N also got leaked such as the seating arrangement. As per the leaked information, the upcoming new Mahindra Scorpio N will be available in both 6-seater and 7-seater configurations.
Diving into the details, the 6-seater version of the upcoming new Mahindra Scorpio N sports a 2+2+2 seating arrangement, where the last arrow gets 50:50 split seats. On the other hand, the 7-seater version comes with a 2+2+3 seating configuration, where the last row seats gets 60:40 split seats.
Other crucial details include lumbar support for the driver, captain seats and height-adjustable seat belts in the second row, AC vents on the floor with blower control, manually adjustable Day/Night IRVM, individual reading lamps in 3rd row, and chrome finish handle on the inside of the boot door.
In addition to this, it is also confirmed that the new Mahindra Scorpio N will get manual handbrake on all variants and the AWD system will be available on both manual and automatic gearbox variants of the diesel version of the SUV.
Earlier leaked documents have revealed that the upcoming new Mahindra Scorpio N SUV will come with a 172bhp 2.2-litre turbocharged diesel engine with 400Nm of peak torque. However, the peak torque of this engine is limited to 370Nm in the variants equipped with the 6-speed manual transmission.
In addition to that, the upcoming new Mahindra Scorpio N can also be specified with a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine with 197bhp of peak power and 360Nm of peak torque.
This information also confirms that the automatic variant of the upcoming new Mahindra Scorpio N comes with larger 18-inch alloy wheels instead of 17-inch alloy wheels in the manual variants.
Earlier, a teaser of the upcoming new Mahindra Scorpio N claimed the SUV of having the ‘Highest Command Seating’. This claim is further strengthened as the upcoming new Mahindra Scorpio N SUV sports 205mm ground clearance.
In terms of safety features, the new Mahindra Scorpio N gets safety systems such as 6 airbags, ESP, Traction Control (TC), ABS, EBD, Hill Descent Control and a few more. Moreover, the upcoming new Mahindra Scorpio N SUV comes with a more advanced Penta link suspension with FSDs.
