Jeep India has announced its plan for 2022 that includes three model launches. The Jeep Meridian, Jeep Compass Trailhawk facelift and new locally assembled Jeep Grand Cherokee will be arriving in showrooms in India in 2022.
Jeep first launched the Compass Trailhawk in India in 2019, but it was removed from the lineup following the launch of the updated 2021 Jeep Compass last year. The new model that arrives in March is the facelifted one based on the current Compass with identical tweaks to the headlamps, grille, bumpers and interior.

Featuring Jeep’s proven 4×4 system and terrain selection, the Trailhawk carries true off-road pedigree. The car gets Jeep Active Drive Low 4×4 20:1 crawl ratio, factory lift suspension, metallic skid plates and a Jeep signature red rear tow hook, 30-degree approach angle, 24-degree breakover angle and 34-degree departure angle, hill-descent Control, up to 19 inches of water fording ability, up to 1,500 kg towing capability and more features that fortify the Jeep Compass Trailhawk’s off-road credentials.
The new Trailhawk also gets the 10.1-inch infotainment screen and 10.25-inch instrument cluster that we have seen on the standard Compass that was updated last year. The exterior and interior get plenty of styling elements that help differentiate the Trailhawk from the regular Compass variants.
The range-topping Jeep Compass Model S 4×4 diesel automatic retails for Rs 29.34 lakh (ex-showroom). Expect the Jeep Compass Trailhawk to cost around a couple of lakhs more, pushing its price dangerously close to the entry-level diesel automatic 4×2 variants of the substantially bigger Toyota Fortuner and MG Gloster.
