This extreme makeover of the Thar by Zephr_Designz gives us an idea of what’s possible when you get the creative juices flowing
The all-new Mahindra Thar that made it to the Indian market last year has received an overwhelming response from the market.
With the waiting period exceeding one year in many locations, the all-new Thar is unarguably one of the most popular cars in the market at the moment.
The Mahidnra Thar also receives a lot of modifications. Probably, it is the most modified vehicle in the country. But the Thar in here is not a real-life modification. It is an artist’s impression and the video is computer-generated by Zephyr_Designz.
Mahindra Thar MAD MAX!!
The stock version of the Mahindra Thar looks quite intimidating on the roads. However, this rendering job is extreme. The whole body now sits much higher because of the oversized tyres mounted on the alloy wheels with bead locks. It gets a lift kit as well that adds additional ground clearance.
There is a video of this vehicle as well. SWIPE UP TO WATCH THE VIDEO!
At the front, there is a massive bulbar that can probably remove stones and makes way when needed. The whole body gets the black treatment that removes any chrome or shiny parts. There are aftermarket headlamps and auxiliary lamps mounted to the roof of the vehicle. The roof has been removed and the rear seats are not there anymore. Instead, there is space to keep extra tyres.
Thar retains the stock appearance
The changes include a new front-end with massive bull bar and aftermarket headlamps
Even though there are a lot of changes on this vehicle, the essentials of the Mahindra Thar have been retained. It is not converted into an unrecognisable vehicle. However, one should keep in mind that such modifications are now allowed in India. Structural changes, lift kits and massive tyres are banned on public roads. But one will never need to touch the tarmac with this vehicle!
