The Chinese SAIC commercial vehicle brand Maxus reports a major order from the Austrian Post for 703 electric transporters.
A total of 700 Maxus eDeliver 3 and three eDeliver 9 are now to be delivered and will soon start their service in postal delivery throughout Austria.
The Austrian Post has been procuring exclusively electric vehicles for delivery uses since 2022. The goal is to electrify the entire delivery fleet by 2030. In March, the 3,000th electric vehicle was added to the fleet. According to the Austrian Post, most of the charging power already comes from its own photovoltaic system.
The Maxus eDELIVER 3 is well suited for use at the post office with a WLTP range of 230 kilometres and a cargo volume of 6.3 m³. A 90 kW electric drive system provides the propulsion.
We are pleased to supply the Austrian Post with our eDELIVER 3 and eDELIVER 9 electric transporters,” said Maxus Motors Austria Managing Director Andreas Kostelecky. “In addition, we are of course immensely proud that we, as such a young brand on the Austrian market, were able to conclude this deal with one of the largest Austrian companies.”
