2023 Audi e-tron Sportback: what is it?
Time flies when you're having a pandemic. Unbelievably the Audi e-tron has been around since 2018, so it's time for a nip and tuck to keep it looking fresh.
Here we can see an e-tron Sporback test mule out and about in Germany, wearing plenty of camouflage to hide its new look.
It looks to us like new headlights will come, as will a new grille design and front bumper – possibly to make it look more like Audi's flagship e-tron GT. At the back it looks like a new rear bumper and slimmer LED taillights are on the cards too.
2023 Audi e-tron Sportback: what is it powered by?
The current e-tron and e-tron Sportback get either a 64.7kWh in 50 models, or an 86.5kWh battery in 55 and S models.
All e-trons get an electric motor on both axles, 50 models produce 308hp, 55 models make 402hp and range-topping S models 496hp.
55 models have the longest range at 255 miles, S models go 200 miles and 50 models will go 180 miles.
The S model is naturally the fastest of the e-trons, with a 0-62mph times of 4.5 seconds and a top speed of 155mph.
We don't expect the e-tron's batteries to change its size or density for its facelift. It's more likely that it'll be made slightly more efficient with aerodynamic gains or a lighter weight to increase its range.
2023 Audi e-tron Sportback: when will it be on sale?
There are no confirmed dates for when the facelifted Audi e-tron and e-tron Sportback will go on sale, but we expect it to be revealed later on in 2022 for 2023 deliveries.
2023 Audi e-tron Sportback: how much will it cost?
We don't expect the Audi e-tron Sportback's price to change drastically with this facelift.
Currently the e-tron costs from around £60,000 and the Sportback from around £62,000. The S starts from around £86,000.
