2022 Bugatti Centodieci: what is it?
The Bugatti Centodieci is the most powerful Bugatti ever made. It is being produced to celebrate Bugatti's EB110 supercar of the 90s, and just 10 are being made.
The Centodieci is based on the firm's Chiron hypercar and was revealed to the public at Pebble Beach in 2019. These are the first shots of it out of track.
Parts of the Centodieci's design nod to the EB110's, including a similar grille, wrap-around windscreen with invisible A-pillar and five-hole air intakes down its flanks.
There's also the small matter of that massive rear wing, which is unique to the Centodieci. Apparently, it can deliver up to 90kg of downforce, which is modest for a hypercar, but is designed for high-speed stability rather than track times.
2022 Bugatti Centodieci: what is it powered by?
The Centodieci is powered by the same 8.0-litre quad-turbo W16 as the Bugatti Chiron, but here it produces 1577bhp instead of the Chiron's 1478bhp. Seems necessary…
Buggati also reckons the Centodieci has been made lighter by around 20kg. Seems unnecessary…
The Centodieci has a 2.4sec 0-62mph time, covers 0-124mph in 6.1sec and can reach 186mph from rest in 13.1sec – 0.5sec quicker than a Chiron.
The Centrodieci is limited to 236mph, compared with 261mph for the Chiron.
2022 Bugatti Centodieci: when will it be on sale?
Bad news, the Centodieci has already sold out. All 10 examples have gone to some extremely wealthy new owners.
2022 Bugatti Centodieci: how much will it cost?
How wealthy you ask? Well, the Centodieci is priced at £7.4m before you start to talk about local taxes.
That isn't the priciest Bugatti there has been, but we think you'll agree, you'll still need to have a bit saved up to have one.
