Bugatti has introduced an even more exclusive vehicle than their normal stock; the Chiron Super Sport Golden Era. This embellished one-off model showcases Bugatti’s history through its bodywork details.

Produced by Bugatti’s Sur Mesure division, known for extravagant customizations, the Golden Era project commemorates Bugatti’s legacy and its soon-to-end W16 engine production. The vehicle took two years to design, representing Bugatti’s most complex bespoke venture.
The passenger side of the car boasts 26 hand-drawn depictions of historic models like the 1926 Type 41 Royale and the Type 57 Atlantic. On the driver’s side, 19 sketches highlight significant Bugatti moments from the brand’s revival in 1987, covering models from the EB110 to the Veyron and Chiron. The car’s base colour, called “Doré,” supports the sketches, complemented by a gradient of “Nocturne Black” paint for contrast.

The interior mirrors the exterior’s theme, featuring three legendary Bugattis on each leather door panel. The driver’s side showcases modern hypercars like the EB110, Veyron, and Chiron while the passenger’s side pays homage to pre-war classics like the Type 35, Type 57SC Atlantic, and Type 41 Royale. “Golden Era” stitching on the headrests and a “One-of-One” badge on the centre console accompany the hand-painted images. The driver’s-side doorsill displays the years “1987–2023,” representing Bugatti’s modern era, while the passenger’s side sill marks the original Bugatti company’s lifespan from “1909–1956.”

Built on a Bugatti Chiron Super Sport platform, the Golden Era houses a 1 160 kW quad-turbocharged 8,0-litre W16 engine and the unique long-tailed carbon-fibre bodywork from the Super Sport 300+. The intricate drawings applied using the same pens used for paper sketches, took over 400 hours of meticulous handwork.

Although Bugatti has not disclosed the buyer or the cost of this commissioned Chiron Super Sport Golden Era, the project showcases the brand’s dedication to personalized craftsmanship and celebrates its rich heritage.
