2022 BMW X5: what is it?
The BMW X5 is one of the best large luxury SUVs you can buy, but BMW is already out testing a facelifted version.
Here we can see the range-topping X5 M out on the road, with camouflaged front and rear sections suggesting a new exterior design.
Expect a new grille design, new front bumper and eventually new LED headlight units. Similarly, at the rear, we can expect a new rear bumper and LED taillight design.
Inside, we expect BMW to give the materials and colours a refresh, but the main change will be the new curved infotainment screen system from the electric iX. This will also run BMW's latest iDrive system, too.
2022 BMW X5: what is it powered by?
We don't expect the engine line-up to change hugely with this facelift, although BMW is likely to find a few more miles-per-gallon here and there.
Expect petrol, diesel and plug-in hybrid petrol-electric power, but no pure-electric X5 given BMW has recently launched the new iX of a similar size.
Of course, the performance-orientated X5 M should continue to get BMW's mighty twin-turbo petrol V8.
2022 BMW X5: when will it be on sale?
We expect the facelifted BMW X5 to go on sale in 2022.
2022 BMW X5: how much will it cost?
We don't expect prices for the BMW X5 to change much with this facelift. It currently costs from just under £59,000 so a new starting price of around £60,000 is likely.
