Centre-lock wheels are more often than not utilised on the vehicles used in various motorsports, such as the GT World Challenge and Formula 1. The purpose of these wheels is to allow for quicker wheel changes during pitstops but also help reduce the wheel rotating mass, allow for larger brakes (as a result of more clearance), and, if installed correctly, are stronger than an average wheel. The centre-lock wheels offered for BMW’s M cars are forged Y-spoke wheels, which are 19-inch wheels at the front and 20-inch wheels at the rear. The front wheels are wrapped in 275/35 ZR19 tyres, and the rear wheels are wrapped in 285/30 ZR20 tyres.
Accentuating the new centre-lock wheels is the BMW M Performance Parts kit, which introduces a handful of hardware enhancements to elevate their vehicle’s appearance and performance. These include adjustments to components such as the car’s suspension, which refers to height-adjustable spring perches, the braking system, the drivetrain, aerodynamics and even the cockpit. Adorning the exterior are a handful of carbon fibre-reinforced plastic components purposed to elevate the vehicle’s visual appeal, which includes elements such as an M Performance rear diffuser and side sill inserts.

Echoing the standoffish exterior is a cockpit characterised by a medley of Alcantara and carbon fibre components. Focal points in the M Performance Parts variants range from the Alcantara-wrapped M Performance steering wheel and Alcantara M Performance armrests juxtaposed by the stylish M Performance carbon fibre bucket seats.
