Behold the product of one man’s passion for pace car Corvettes! It all started in 1954 when 12-year-old Richard Foster’s dad took him to see the Indianapolis 500 for the first time. From that moment on, Foster was in love with the Brickyard.
Eventually, Mr. Foster became Doctor Foster, and he was ready to start collecting cars. Many of them were Corvettes, including a huge assortment of Indy 500 pace cars and replicas. How many various cars? How about 42 in his own private museum? For Foster, the stars of this museum are those pace cars, festival cars, and pace car replicas. “I’ve always been in love with that race,” he says. “I have many great memories of being there and seeing so many tremendous cars and drivers.”
