Tata Harrier facelift spotted testing with very few visual updates

The facelifted version of the Harrier, which is anticipated to receive some new features and aesthetic improvements, is still being tested by Tata Motors. The Harrier still has the same exterior styling as it had when it was first introduced four years ago. According to a new set of spy photos, Tata Motors has reportedly started work on the Harrier facelift.

Tata displayed the Harrier EV with the Sierra EV and the Curvv Concept at the Auto Expo 2023. One test mule can be seen in the freshly discovered disguised avatar with horizontal slats on the grille and front bumper, suggesting that it may be the updated version being tested. The Harrier facelift and the Harrier EV may share headlamps, LED DRLs, and fog lights.

The 2.0-litre turbodiesel engine that now powers the Harrier generates 170PS and 350 Nm. Either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission is connected to it. The new engine complies with the harsher BS6 Phase 2 emission standards.

A new 1.5-litre turbocharged gasoline engine is one of the Harrier facelift’s potential options. It produces 280 Nm and 170PS. There will be both manual and automatic transmission options. Harrier might benefit from a gasoline version because it would have a cheaper starting price.

Interior upgrades for the Tata Harrier facelift may include new upholstery and ambient lighting with many colours. Earlier this year, Harrier received a number of improvements. A 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 9-speaker JBL sound system, a 7-inch digital TFT instrument cluster, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a wireless charger, 200+ voice commands in 6 languages, and the iRA connected car platform are among the premium features offered by the current model.
