Nick Tandy will leave Corvette Racing after the FIA World Endurance Championship’s 8 Hours of Bahrain.
Tandy has been racing with Corvette for two seasons. In 2021 he competed for the General Motors-owned brand in the IMSA WeatherTech Sportscar Championship, finishing runner up in the GTLM championship to teammates Jordan Taylor and Antonio Garcia. He and teammate Tommy Milner also won races at Detroit, Laguna Seca, Long Beach and Virginia International Raceway.
In 2022, he and Milner moved over to Corvette’s single car assault on the WEC. So far the highlight of the year has been winning the 6 Hours of Monza.
This leaves Tandy available for next year for a sportscar drive. However, paddock rumours say he has secured a Porsche seat at Porsche Penske Motorsport, for the German brand’s dual IMSA/WEC campaign with the new LMDh-rules 963. It’s not clear in which series Tandy will race in next year at this point.

As one driver leaves, another joins: Corvette has also announced that talented amatuer Ben Keating will join the team in 2023 for an FIA World Endurance Championship campaign in the GTE-Am category.
With the forthcoming 8 Hours of Bahrain set to be the GTE-Pro’s class final race in the series, GTE-Am will take centre stage as the only GT class in the world championship. Corvette, then, will campaign a factory-entered car in the class. Nicky Catsburg will join Keating in the car, with a third driver yet to be announced.
“I really love the format of the World Endurance Championship and GTE Am. I’ve really wanted to race a Corvette for a long time and have been chipping away at this to make this happen because I want to race what I sell. I’m in the unique position of enjoying cars as a vocation and a recreation. This is something I’ve been dreaming of for a long time. I’m incredibly excited for this opportunity.” Keating said.
