20th anniversary Wrangler V8 concept to emerge at annual Easter Jeep Safari
Jeep has teased a special-edition Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 to celebrate the 20th anniversary of its most capable nameplate in the lead-up to its annual Easter Jeep Safari in Moab, Utah.
Previewed by a solitary, multi-layered digital sketch, the 20th anniversary Rubicon will be defined by a series of unique graphics, its own bespoke body colour and, of course, the thumping 351kW/637Nm 6.4-litre HEMI V8 that powers the standard Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 that’s not sold in Australia.
Further details remain thin on the ground at the moment, but a few extra capability-enhancing features or accessories could also be thrown in. All will be revealed in around a month’s time when the concept car debuts at Jeep’s biggest annual event.

“Twenty years ago, the Jeep brand introduced the most capable production vehicle of its time,” Jeep said in a statement.
“Now, the newest Easter Jeep Safari Jeep concept celebrates the legendary 4×4 capability that continues to drive the Jeep brand and defy performance boundaries, decade after decade.”
The Rubicon nameplate first emerged in 2003 on the side of the second-generation TJ-series Jeep Wrangler and quickly earned itself a famous reputation for off-road capability. The four-door Rubicon Unlimited joined the previous (JK) model line-up in 2007.

Fast-forward 20 years from that original launch and the Rubicon name can now be found on both the Wrangler and the related Jeep Gladiator ute, both of which are widely regarded as the two most capable vehicles within their respective segments.
The V8-powered Rubicon 392 is yet to be confirmed for release in Australia and nor is the Wrangler 4xe hybrid, but Stellantis Australia has previously expressed interest in securing both models for our market.
Come April, the 20th anniversary Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 will debut alongside two other concepts including a toughened-up Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe and some form of Jeep Gladiator.
