It looks better than ever.
As the battle of the luxury SUVs rages on, brands are upping the ante with bigger, better and more refined products in order to clinch a few extra slices of this massively lucrative pie. American offerings such as the Cadillac Escalade, and German rivals, including the Mercedes-Benz GLS are looking better than ever. Lincoln, which recently celebrated 100 years of luxury, does not plan on being left behind and has revealed the refreshed Navigator at the 2022 Chicago Auto Show. The Lincoln Navigator, currently in its fourth generation, has received a number of notable updates, including a new face, and arrives with a renewed sense of vigor.
From the outside it's clear that the Navigator now resembles the rest of the Lincoln SUV lineup. It's fresh grille, adaptive pixel headlights and new 3D taillamps have shed years off of this luxury barge, but it's the updates on the inside that has everyone the most excited. This full-size, three-row luxury SUV can seat up to seven people in comfort and for 2022, offers a ton of advanced tech too: the cloud-connected SYNC 4 infotainment system is now standard as is a sizeable 13.2-inch screen with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Amazon Alexa. The Navigator even gets special chimes, recorded by the Detroit Symphony Orchestra. The most important update of all is Lincoln's ActiveGlide, a semi-autonomous hands-free system that operates on more than 130,000 miles of highways in North America.
So the face has changed, and the interior has received a major makeover, but what about under the hood? The 2022 Lincoln Navigator will make use of the same twin-turbo EcoBoost V6 producing 440 hp and 510 lb-ft. This smooth and powerful engine is mated to a ten-speed automatic transmission. Lincoln's Adaptive Suspension with Road Preview promises an ultra smooth ride and can make up to 100 adjustments per second.
The refreshed Navigator goes on sale in the first quarter of 2022, and prices will range between $77,000 and $100,000.
