ABBOTTSTOWN, Pa. — Freddie Rahmer won the annual Icebreaker sprint car feature at Lincoln Speedway for the second consecutive year on Thursday night.
With two days of racing scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, but excellent weather forecast for Thursday, Lincoln Speedway officials opted to move the Icebreaker to Thursday to take advantage of unseasonably warm temperatures.
Twenty-six cars and a hearty crowd took advantage of the event and Rahmer banked $5,000 in a 30-lap affair that saw him lead every lap from outside the front row.
Justin Peck came home second, with Danny Dietrich, Devon Borden and Matt Campbell rounding out the top five.
Racing remains scheduled for the weekend, but track officials are monitoring the forecast.
The finish:
Freddie Rahmer, Justin Peck, Danny Dietrich, Devon Borden, Matt Campbell, Brent Marks, Anthony Macri, Kyle Moody, Cameron Smith, Zane Rudiseill, Billy Dietrich, Dylan Norris, Tim Glatfelter, Troy Wagaman, Brandon Rahmer, Riley Emig, Cole Young, Michael Millard, Rick Lafferty, Tyler Ross, Trey Hivner, Tim Wagaman, Chad Trout, Alan Krimes, Mike Lutz.
