Perodua continues to deliver for the 3rd consecutive month as the supply situation gradually improves. In September 2021, Perodua registered a growth of 102% as sales increased from 6,988 cars to 14,160 cars.
“The automotive supply chain has shown improvements but have yet to reach their full potential. We are continuously working with our suppliers and dealers to further improve productivity and safety,” Perodua President and Chief Executive Officer, Dato’ Zainal Abidin Ahmad said.
According to Dato’ Zainal, the company continues to maintain strict quality control measures throughout its operations in both its production and sales divisions and as such the growth in output is a gradual one. This is Perodua’s way to ensure that it delivers products that meet customers’ satisfaction.
“We thank our customers that have continued to be patient with us as we further improve production,” Dato’ Zainal said. “We do apologise for any inconvenience caused by the delay in the delivery and we will assist our customers in any way that we can to ensure that their Perodua is delivered as soon as possible,” he added.
Perodua projects a better outlook for the 4th quarter of 2021 compared to the previous 2 quarters, especially with the high vaccination rate of nearly 90% among the adult population in Malaysia and COVID-19 cases are on the downtrend.
