This year’s show carries the ‘Mobility for All’ theme and will showcase the latest vehicles available in the market, and highlight new technology in vehicle safety and comfort. A total of 32 OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) and 170 exhibitors from 7 countries will be participating in the show, making it the largest auto show in the country and ASEAN.
At the venue, Hall A will have over 100 car models on display, including the latest Energy Efficient Vehicles (EEV). Show visitors will get to enjoy special deals on the vehicles as well as special financing packages from the participating bank partner.
There will also be a free 21-point vehicle inspection at the Car Care Week area in the parking lot for visitors.
Meanwhile Hall D will be the MARii Mobility Hall which will showcase the automotive value chain – from automotive styling to design and engineering to manufacturing, and provide a vision of Malaysia’s mobility ecosystem in the future.
MARii is also collaborating with Sabah’s Kinabalu Coders to bring in the Robot Combat tournament, with 32 teams from around Malaysia competing. Other activities in the hall include the Malaysia Autonomous Vehicle Challenge (MAVEC ’19) organised by SAE Malaysia and the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), which will see 12 teams from institutions of higher learning competing. The final stages of the Robot Combat and MAVEC challenges will take place between 12 – 14 April.
