Finally, Nissan’s fourth concept will find favor with thousands of Americans, including those who may otherwise be considering a Tesla Cybertruck. A pickup called the Surf-Out, it has a single-cab configuration with two doors ahead of the bed area. Nissan says the Surf-Out offers a variety of power sources and all-terrain capability. An unusual styling detail is the front area with a translucent panel where a grille would usually be, allowing you to look into the interior from this rather unflattering angle for anyone not appropriately attired.
With the bed area concealed by a tinted glass panel, the pickup is suddenly transformed into what looks like a coupe-SUV. At the back, the entire tailgate is a display that can be customized to show a variety of words or emojis. Inside, the Surf-Out has an entirely button-free cabin with nothing more than seats, a pedal, and a widescreen display.
