“Our team is working tirelessly with their global supply colleagues to continue to secure greater production across the board in the coming months, including Navara and X-Trail,” a spokesperson from Nissan Australia told Chasing Cars.
Shockwaves from the Covid-19 pandemic have caused significant interruptions to car industry supply chains, with other utes such as the Toyota Hilux also reporting interruptions to supply in Australia.

The Navara is available in a choice of five grades consisting of the SL, ST, ST-X, PRO-4X and the range-topping PRO-4X Warrior, with prices kicking off at $32,300 (before on-road costs) in SL cab chassis manual-equipped rear-wheel-drive guise.
Nissan offers single cab, extended cab and dual-cab body styles with both cab-chassis and pick-up ute tray options.

Despite pandemic pressures, the Navara had a bumper year in 2021 with 15,113 recorded sales a notable increase over 2020 where it saw 11,486 sales.
Buyers can choose between a single or twin-turbo 2.3-litre diesel four-cylinder engine, making 120kW/403Nm and 140kW/450Nm respectively. A six-speed manual and seven-speed automatic transmission are available with either rear or all-wheel-drive.
The Navara comes standard with features like hard-wearing cloth seats and an 8.0-inch touchscreen with in-built Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, while higher grades add leather trim in the interior and include niceties like heated seats and dual-zone climate control.

Nissan’s range-topping Navara PRO-4X Warrior has been a huge hit in Australia, with the Victoria-based Premcar team finding success in turning the hardy workhorse into an off-road monster that appeals to Aussie buyers – with 750 sold since its launch in December 2021.
