Nissan has launched a new Value Advantage Parts programme in South Africa, which aims to provide a selection of curated parts and kits tailored to vehicle owners whose warranties have expired.
It is intended to be a cost-effective alternative to Nissan Genuine Parts while still upholding the trusted standards for Nissan-validated quality, said the company.
Value Advantage Parts
The Value Advantage Parts catalogue includes a list of items ranging from service kits to oil filters, air filters, cabin filters, wiper blades, brake components, and clutch kits – all of which are tested and validated according to the brand’s technical standards.
The kits can be bought over the counter, however, if they are installed at a participating Nissan dealership the customer will also receive a 12-month peace-of-mind warranty, said the manufacturer.
The programme is available for a wide range of Nissan models in South Africa, going as far back as 1980 with components for the 1400 bakkie.
The most recent year covered by the service is 2019, meaning there are parts available for the following models:
- Almera
- Juke
- Micra
- NP200
- NP300
- NV200
- NV350 Impendulo and Panel Van
- Qashqai
- X-Trail
“Considering the prevailing economic challenges in South Africa, Nissan South Africa remains committed to providing more accessible and affordable vehicle maintenance and repair options,” said Ibrahim Rageh, Nissan Africa’s Aftersales Director.
“Value Advantage Parts address the concerns of cost-sensitive customers without compromising on quality, durability, wear and tear, or safety specifications.”
The new parts service is intended to serve as a “middle step” between the more expensive Nissan Genuine Parts, which are the same pieces that are fitted to a vehicle when it is first manufactured, and cheaper but lower-performing aftermarket items.
No aftermarket competitors have the advantage of being validated by Nissan, yet the pricing of Value Advantage Parts remains highly competitive with other aftermarket products, said the automaker.
