Damaged taillight assemblies have prompted the latest recall from Stellantis of almost 99,200 Jeep Grand Cherokee and Grand Cherokee L SUVs.
Affected vehicles include model-year 2022 Grand Cherokees and 2021-22 Grand Cherokee Ls. The taillight side-marker assemblies may be damaged, which could prevent them from illuminating, increasing the risk of a crash.
To fix the issue, dealers will replace the body-mounted taillight assemblies for free. Jeep parent Stellantis will begin notifying owners Sept. 16. Those with additional questions can call the automaker at 800-853-1403, or visit NHTSA’s website to check their vehicle identification number and learn more.
