At a virtual presentation, more details on the individual variants of the Microlino electric light vehicle have now been presented. Micro plans to offer a total of four versions of the model.
Deliveries of the ‘Pioneers Series‘, which was already presented, are to start in summer 2022, first in Switzerland, before it is the turn of Germany and Italy in the fourth quarter of 2022. The company then plans to serve other EU countries in the course of 2023.
In total, however, the Microlino will be available in four variants, all of which will be powered by an electric motor with an output of 12.5 kW. The top speed of the electric two-seater is 90 km/h. The Microlino will also be available with an electric motor. In addition, the Microlino will be available with three battery sizes (6, 10.5 or 14 kWh), which should enable ranges of 91, 177 and 230 kilometres respectively. The respective chemical storage can be recharged via type 2. With a maximum charging power of 1.35 kW, the small battery needs four hours, the medium battery with 2.6 kW three hours and the largest battery (also 2.6 kW) four hours.
The entry-level variant is the ‘Urban’ edition. This model will be available in two colours and will only be equipped with the 6 kWh battery. However, potential customers will have to be patient. This model will not be available until the second quarter of 2023, before which the subsequent variants will be given preference:
The ‘Competizione’ is for the futurists. This edition will be available in three different matt colours and will have a sliding roof as standard. For this variant, on the other hand, Micro Mobility Systems offers the medium and large battery. The ‘Dolce’ edition is for retro lovers, according to the company. It will be available in five colours, has a sunroof as standard and there is a choice of all three battery sizes (6, 10.5 or 14 kWh).
Both the ‘Dolce’ and the ‘Competizione’ could be delivered as early as the end of 2022, depending on the situation in the supply chain, according to Micro.
However, the launch edition will be the first. The limited ‘Pioneer Series’ will be the first 999 vehicles. All Microlinos of the ‘Pioneer Series’ are equipped with a 10.5 kWh battery for a range of up to 177 kilometres and come in two different colours that are only available in this special series: Atlantis Blue and Torino Aluminum. Thus, the Launch Edition will use the middle of the three announced battery variants.

However, final prices are not yet available. The configurator will only be activated in the next few days. Preference will initially be given to customers from Switzerland, however, before advance payments will also be accepted from Germany and Italy at a later date. If Micro is able to keep to its own production schedule, about 1,500 Microlino will be built in Turin by the end of this year.
However, the company also sees a challenge in being able to satisfy all customers. According to Micro, there are currently more than 30,000 reservations for the light electric vehicle.
