Mazda has launched the second model in their 7th-generation line-up – the Mazda CX-30 – in South Africa.
The new compact SUV forms part of the brand’s CX range, and slots in between the CX-3 and CX-5.
The CX-30 blends the large proportions of an SUV with the low roofline of a coupe body style, and offers all the comforts and space that is demanded by customers in this popular segment, said Mazda.
Features
The CX-30 range consists of three derivatives – Active, Dynamic, and Individual – which are all offered in front-wheel drive and automatic transmission configurations.
The exterior of the CX-30 is new to our country, and features a slightly taller stance than the CX-3; black plastic bumpers, skirts, and wheel arches; and a sleeker design.
Additionally, every customer will have an option of nine exterior colours to choose from.
The Active and Dynamic trim then receives 16-inch grey-metallic alloy wheels, whereas the Individual option is equipped with 18-inch silver metallic alloy wheels.
As with the design of the CX-30, the exterior and interior features are also new – and generously equipped.
Every option in the range will be fitted with LED headlamps, a heads-up display (HUD), and an 8.8-inch MZD Connect infotainment display with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay capabilities.
The Active and Dynamic trims will then feature a dark grey cloth seat trim with black and blue dashboard accents; with the Individual car fitted with black, perforated leather seats and black and brown dashboard details.
The Dynamic trim will also have an option to upgrade to a greige cloth seat trim, if black and blue does not appeal to you.
Pricing and specifications
Every variant in the line-up will be powered by Mazda’s 2.0-litre Skyactiv-G engine, which produces a peak output of 121kW and 213Nm.

- Mazda CX-30 2.0L Individual 6AT – R540,000
The range is sold with a standard 3-year/unlimited kilometre service plan, 3-year factory warranty, 3-year roadside assistance, and 5-year corrosion warranty.
