Mazda mid-October announced pricing and changes for the 2023 Mazda CX-30, expected in Canadian dealerships as soon as next month. Starting at $26,700, just $600 above last year’s price for the GX trim version of the SUV, the CX-30 model has five extra horsepower and improved fuel economy — a rating 0.7 L/100km lower than the 2022 model.
Alongside Mazda’s Skyactiv-G four-cylinder engine, the CX-30 comes standard with the brand’s latest i-Activ AWD system, offering drivers more control and handling.
The CX-30 GX ($26,700) features a Skyactiv-G 2.0L engine that produces 155 hp and 150 lb-ft of torque. It’s been paired with a quick-shifting six-speed automatic transmission with manual and sport modes.
Also appetizing is its advanced blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert system. In addition, it includes complimentary Mazda Connected Services for two years, which allows drivers to access features such as remote start and remote door locks.

Its interior offers an 8.8-inch centre display that integrates with your smartphone devices or tablet with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto system. Pair that with the Mazda Harmonic Acoustics sound system with eight speakers, dual USB inputs, a push-button start feature, and heated front seats, and you have an alluring car.
The exterior includes LED automatic on-and-off headlights, taillights, black rear roof spoiler, grey metallic 16-inch aluminum alloy wheels, and rain windshield wipers.
The CX-30 GS ($30,000) is slightly more impressive. With 191 hp and 186 lb-ft of torque, this model has cylinder-deactivation technology that makes it fuel efficient in the city and highway. It includes various safety features, including Mazda radar cruise control, smart brake support, pedestrian detection (forward-sensing), lane-departure warning with lane-keep assist and more. Other notable features include 18-inch aluminum alloy wheels, heated mirrors, and a leather-wrapped shifter.
It’s important to note that the CX-30 GS also has a luxury package ($32,200). It includes leatherette-trimmed upholstery available in black or greige, a retractable moonroof, and memory positioning when in reverse to aid with parking.
The CX-30 GT ($36,200) aims to take the luxury trim to a new level. With a 360-degree-view monitor, advanced keyless entry, a Bose 12-speaker audio system, and black leather seats — also available in pure white or garnet red — It offers class and style with functionality and connectivity.
Lastly, the CX-30 GT Turbo ($38,600) packs a punch. It produces 250 horsepower and 320 lb-ft of torque on premium 93-octane fuel, while on regular 87-octane fuel, it offers 227 hp and 310 lb-ft of torque. There are four exterior and three interior choices for drivers interested in custom colour options.
