The Patrol Nismo SUV from Nissan has been fettled by the folks at Manhart. A supercharger now sits atop the sizable V8 while the exterior of the 2,6-ton behemoth receives all of the characteristic black and gold synonymous with the tuner.

A Nissan wearing the black and gold dual-tone hues of Manhart is something out of the ordinary. The tuner is renowned for its efforts with Euro vehicles and in particular, those from Bavaria and Stuttgart. Diversification isn’t always a bad thing as their latest Nissan Patrol Nismo demonstrates. Their specialist approach still imparts the same interior and exterior treatment to the Japanese SUV. So what has Manhart updated on this 2,6-ton behemoth?
First thing is first; that supercharger. The naturally aspirated 5,6-litre V8 powerplant in the standard SUV doesn’t put out the most inspiring performance figures or performance itself. Equipped with a meagre 319 kW and 560 N.m, the motor can haul the hefty mass to 100 km/h in a pedestrian 7,

3 seconds. Manharts solution to the ‘all show and no go’ SUV was to bolt a supercharger atop the model. This pushes power out to 485 kW and torque to 600 N.m – a significant improvement.
The Patrol Nismo by Manhart has no performance statistics yet, but we can imagine its sprint times will have gained from the supercharger.
On the outside, Manhart has done their usual trickery. The most obvious is the 24-inch wheels on each corner with elastic bands for tyres and the slightly lower stance. It’s safe to say that this isn’t particularly a model you would take off of the beaten path.

Using the 2015 Nismo version as a basis, the ageing interior of the model still shines through although Manhart can reupholster it with leather and Alcantara.
