According to Car and Driver, the 2023 Lincoln Aviator changed a little bit for the new model year. First, customers can now order the Reserve and Black Label models with the Jet appearance package. This package replaces most of the vehicle’s exterior chrome pieces with black pieces and swaps the lower plastic cladding and trim around the wheels with body-colored versions.
Next, the Grand Touring plug-in hybrid model can get an optional Illumination package. It includes adaptive pixel LED headlamps, special LED daytime running lights, an illuminated Lincoln logo in the grille, and LED fog lamps.
Lastly, two exterior paint colors are available: Diamond Red and Jewel Sandstone. Moreover, every version of the Lincoln Aviator is a little more costly than before.

Comparing the standard features between the 2023 Lincoln Aviator and the 2022 model is easy. That’s because not much has changed from one year to the next. According to Edmunds, every 2023 model starts off with rain-sensing windshield wipers, roof rails, a power liftgate, heated/power side mirrors, keyless ignition, push-button start, remote engine start, three-zone automatic climate control, simulated leather upholstery, power/heated front seats, and driver’s seat memory.
For tech and driver aid features, the Aviator offers even more. For example, a digital instrument cluster, a 10.1-inch infotainment system, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, a Wi-Fi hotspot, a 10-speaker sound system, forward collision mitigation, blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert, lane departure mitigation, and parking sensors.

The 2023 Lincoln Aviator SUV comes with a turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 engine under the hood. It’s rated for 400 horsepower and 415 lb-ft of torque. However, higher trims like the Grand Touring and Black Label models use a plug-in hybrid powertrain based on the same V6 engine. Although this one has an output of 494 horsepower and 630 lb-ft of torque. The upper trims also come with standard all-wheel drive, while lower trims use rear-wheel drive but can be optioned with AWD.
