The Security Office has a badge you’ll need to grab if you want to get into the South Hall in Devolverland Expo.
Devolver’s new free-to-play title, Devolverland Expo, has a variety of little puzzles for you to solve in order to get through the game.
While you’ll primarily be exploring booths of upcoming Devolver games, you’ll also need to figure out how to sneak past security droids, unlock doors, and access certain areas.
One of the first puzzles that may stump you is how to get into the Security Office. Having a hard time? Here’s how you can get into the Security Office in Devolverland Expo!
How to Get to the Security Office in Devolverland Expo
Your first objective in Devolverland Expo is getting into the South Hall which is locked. To enter, you’ll need to locate the Security Office and pick up a pass. Think of it as being at E3 and needing to pick up your badge first before you can enter the South Hall.
To get to the Security Office, you’ll want to head straight from the front door and before heading up the stairs to the South Hall, make a left. Keep an eye out for security droids roaming around looking for intruders.
If you’re having a hard time seeing some of these droids, you can open up the Options menu and increase the Gamma to brighten the game.
We had a hard time seeing at first and found that increasing the Gamma helped tenfold. Once you make a left at the South Hall, you’ll see a lift going up to the second floor.
Don’t bother trying to jump up this, you won’t be able to. Instead, you’re going to need to get through the locked door near a security desk.
To do this, turn around and locate the booth full of Devolver merchandise. On the counter, you’ll find a t-shirt gun which you can use to shoot security droids and temporarily disorient them, and unlock doors by hitting special switches.
For the security door, you’re going to want to aim your t-shirt gun through the window of the security desk at a red tower with a button on top. Hit the button and the tower will turn green, indicating the door is now open.
Avoid the security droid or shoot it with your t-shirt gun to disorient it, then make your way through the door, up the stairs, and to your right to the Security Office. Keep your t-shirt gun at the ready as you’ll encounter another security droid right outside the Security Office.
Inside the Security Office, look on the desk near the monitors with all the security camera feeds and you’ll see the security pass. Pick it up, head out and use the lift you saw earlier to jump down to the first floor.
After that, all you need to do is head to the South Hall and interact with the door to open it and you’re on your way!
