South Africans who wish to own the new Mazda CX-60 will need to spend at least R2,650 per month on insurance, according to research done by TopAuto.
The SUV can be had in two specifications, Dynamic and Individual, with prices starting at R739,800 and R844,500, respectively.
Both versions use a 2.5-litre, naturally-aspirated petrol engine with 141kW and 261Nm, though the Dynamic is rear-wheel drive while the Individual is all-wheel drive
Combined with an eight-speed automatic gearbox, fuel consumption works out to 7.3-7.7l/100km on a typical consumption, depending on the foundation.
Standard features on the SUV include automatic LED headlights, 20-inch alloy wheels, leather upholstery, climate control, a 360-degree camera, automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, seven airbags, hill descent control, radar cruise control, a heads-up display, and two 12-inch screens for driving info and entertainment.
It also comes with a 12-speaker Bose stereo and new Master Sound Revive Noise Reduction technology to remove background noise from digital audio tracks.
Finally, Mazda’s headline model includes a new Personalization System that uses facial recognition to identify the occupant of the driver’s seat and adjusts the seat position, steering wheel, wing mirrors, and HUD to fit their physique.
