Hero MotoCorp has introduced new colour options for the Hero Xtreme 160R motorcycle in a bid to boost its sales by attracting more customers. Now, interested customers can choose between 5 colour options including Sports Red, Matte Sapphire Blue, Pearl Silver White, Matte Axis Grey, and Stealth 2.0.
In addition to these options, the Hero Xtreme 160R motorcycle can be had in both single-disc and double-disc variants. The single-disc variant of the Hero Xtreme 160R costs Rs 1.19 lakh (ex-showroom), whereas the double-disc variant costs Rs 1.22 lakh (ex-showroom).
In addition to these regular variants, there is also a Stealth 2.0 variant of the Hero Xtreme 160R motorcycle. This variant of the Hero Xtreme 160R motorcycle is priced at Rs 1.30 lakh (ex-showroom).
It is also worth mentioning that the Hero Xtreme 160R motorcycle can be booked online and the booking amount for all variants of the motorcycle is capped at Rs 2,500.
In terms of powertrain, the Hero Xtreme 160R motorcycle continues to use the tried-and-tested 163cc, air-cooled, SOHC engine. This engine produces 15bhp of peak power at 8,500rpm and 14Nm of peak torque at 6,500rpm. Furthermore, the motorcycle also features a city-friendly 5-speed gearbox.
Hardware-wise, the Hero Xtreme 160R motorcycle comes with a tubular diamond frame, a 37mm telescopic suspension at the front, and a 7-step adjustable mono-shock at the rear. While braking duties are taken care by a 276mm petal disc at the front and a 220mm disc at the rear.
As mentioned above, there is also a drum brake version of the Hero Xtreme 160R motorcycle. This variant uses a 130mm drum brake setup at the rear instead of the 220mm disc brake setup.
Some of the noteworthy features of the Hero Xtreme 160R motorcycle include an inverted LCD console with adjustable brightness, LED headlamps, LED tail lamps, tow away alert, topple alert, driving score, geo-fencing, Hero Locate, trip analysis, vehicle start alert, speed alert, and live tracking.
Thoughts: With the introduction of new colour options on the Hero Xtreme 160R motorcycle, Hero MotoCorp will be able to attract more buyers to the dealerships across India, and this added footfalls to the showroom is expected to have a positive effect on overall sales volume.
